“The Motor City,” Detroit has a rich musical heritage and is the perfect place for an aspiring musician to cultivate a sound that is distinctive and different from any other.  Tim Bowman is that artist.  He is a guitarist/songwriter who honed his craft while playing the guitar in church prior to moving on to formal training as a young adult. His musical talents are undeniable.

Tim embraced his Detroit roots and pulled from numerous influences and has created a sound that infuses gospel, blues, R&B and jazz.  Prior to branching out on his solo career, Tim was the musical director of one of gospel’s most renowned groups, The Winans.  After six years on the road, he decided to take a break and began his solo career.

Tim has topped the Billboard Smooth Jazz charts with three of his singles, “Seaside Drive“, “Sweet Sundays” and “Summer Grove” released between 2004 and 2013 all while signed to an indie label, which confirms the power of his songs and artistry.
